Join us to celebrate the opening of our new public archery range. Give archery a shot with Forest Preserve District equipment and staff guidance. Perfect for families, beginners and first-time archers.

- The first 100 participants will receive an archery commemorative patch!
No experience is needed for this free event. The Forest Preserve District will provide equipment to borrow and safety instruction on the Traditional Range. (The Elevated Range and Crossbow Range are closed during the Grand Opening Celebration.) All participants and parents of minor participants must sign a safety waiver, prior to the Try Archery component. There is no fee and no permit is required during the Try Archery component of our Grand Opening Celebration.
After 1 p.m., the archery complex will be open to the public for shooting, with a valid District archery permit. At that time, the Elevated and Crossbow Ranges will open, in addition to the Traditional Range.
