Head on out to beautiful Dick Young Forest Preserve to enjoy the final wildflower colors of summer. Learn to identify prairie flowers and listen to some interesting lore and cultural history about the different plant species found in the autumn tallgrass prairie. By the end of this program, you’ll have a new appreciation for this rare and beautiful ecosystem that inspired Illinois’ nickname: “The Prairie State.”
