Location: Creek Bend Nature Center

Nighttime Nature SeriesExplore the nocturnal world with a naturalist! These “after hours” programs give us a glimpse into the life of wildlife that we usually don’t get to see. We’ll visit different forest preserves with different nocturnal habitats each month.

Moth Mania – Get out into the night to celebrate National Moth Week! We’ll learn about the unusual beauty, life cycles, and habitats of moths, and then head into the field to observe some local species up close with the aid of various moth attractants. The Naturalist will also explain how you can become a real Citizen Scientist during National Moth Week by submitting moth observational data on iNaturalist, an easy to use smartphone app.
