Brewster Creek Forest Preserve
St. Charles, IL
Description
The heavily wooded site sits along Brewster Creek at its north and east borders and is an important part of the Brewster Creek greenway. Prior to the District's acquisition, the YWCA had partnered with the Kane County Division of Environmental Management to carry out and monitor a dam-removal project. This project provided a unique opportunity to address a safety issue, improve the natural ecology, enhance educational programs and successfully develop a model for other dam removal and stream channel restoration projects across Illinois. This site is also an important part of the Brewster Creek greenway and connection to the Stearns Road Corridor.
With multiple meeting rooms, seating for 100+ on the main level, a catering kitchen, outdoor deck, and a beautiful forest preserve setting, the Belding Lodge at Brewster Creek is the perfect place for your special event. We have open showings every Wednesday (except for holiday weeks) from 3-7 p.m. No appointment is necessary.
