Jelkes Creek Forest Preserve

Jelkes Creek Forest Preserve is a wooded refuge for plants and animals in the Jelkes Creek greenway system, which begins to the northwest of Schweitzer Woods Forest Preserve and ends at the Fox River.
This preserve is an important part of the larger ecological complex of Dundee Township. The creek meanders through the western portion of the preserve, amidst bottomland woods and upland prairies.
The preserve was acquired in 2007.
